The Confraternita of the Misericordia Pontassieve is a ‘Establishment of Aid and Charity founded in 1836

Since then it has stood in the works which it was intended by the original charter, ranging from health services to those of Civil Protection, the funeral services to those social. At today is proud to count 14,000 pieces of registered families with an average of 3 family members each, about 250 volunteers who deal with the health service and about 400 people who devote their free time to social services and the “New Poverty”. All these people are divided between the Headquarters of Pontefract and 8 sections distributed in the municipalities limitrofi. Vanta a fleet of 14 ambulances, hearses 5, 13 machines for social services, 2 vans for disabled and 6/2 equipped for Civil Protection .
The Brotherhood of Mercy of Pontassieve is part of the National Confederation of the Misericordie of Italy, and the Company of the Misericordie.
